Once you place your order and pay for it, we will include it with our next available consignment which is usually never more than 3 weeks away from the date that you place it (sometimes even just 2 weeks away!). It will then be delivered throughout the following week.
It is possible that some items are out of stock at IKEA, Catania. Remember, IKEA are very popular in Sicily and hundreds of people visit every day so even their 'website stocks' might not be so accurate. Since IKEA prepare our goods over the span of a week and a half, it is very difficult to tell what will arrive and what won't. We do not represent IKEA so we cannot have this information until the day the goods arrive in our warehouse.

In your account, you will be able to view a Statement of all your purchase/invoice/credit history with Maltashopper Limited. Invoices are visible in your Payments and can be printed off directly from there. Credit notes are issued automatically when an item is cancelled. You can re-use credit for a new purchase or request a refund for this credit, at which point we will send a cheque for your refund.

Deliveries are scheduled depending on your area and usually start from the consignment date that your order is part of until the next week. We want to get your goods to you as quickly as possible and we will always email you a week before we even go up for the goods to arrange a delivery date in advance. Normal delivery times are Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3 pm.

If you have confirmed delivery and there is no to sign for the order when we turn up, the goods will be brought back to the warehouse and a new delivery date will be sent for the following week. If no one is able to accept the second delivery attempt, the order will be prepared for collection for up to one week or you can opt for a third delivery attempt at a charge of EUR25.
You'll have that one week to come and collect the goods or arrange someone to collect it on your behalf. If the order is then not collected within that week, it will be returned to IKEA immediately and you will be credited less the shipping cost you originally paid.
Yes, you can. However, we reserve the right to charge 3% of the total value of your order per week that they are in our warehouse, due to the fact that space is limited. Clients storing an order that amounts to less than €5 will not be charged.
We deliver to ground floor only. Should you require delivery to a higher floor you will need to secure the services of a lifting company and coordinate delivery times with our delivery department. Any lifting charges are to your account.
Gozo deliveries are scheduled normally once a week at no extra cost. You are welcome, of course, to arrange with our delivery department to collect your items from our warehouse in Santa Venera, Malta.
If you would like an unscheduled delivery to Gozo there is a charge of €50.
You should always receive an email from us with an Order Update after we received every consignment.
It is possible that the items which did not arrive were either out of stock or unavailable from IKEA; this is determined by IKEA themselves. If the items are simply out of stock they will be kept on back-order until you choose to cancel the items or until they are no longer available from IKEA, Catania. In both cases, you will receive credit in your account for these items. If the items are unavailable from IKEA, Catania we will have to cancel these items from your order.
Maltashopper Limited is not, in any way, liable for the inconvenience caused by missing/out of stock/unavailable items. Any cancelled orders/items, which have already been paid for, will be refunded.
We encourage our clients to check the availability of each item from IKEA, Catania before ordering and paying for the items. This can be done here, through the IKEA Italia website.
You can collect your items at any time during our opening hours after you receive the order update stating that the items have arrived. Kindly note that should your order not be collected within 2 weeks after arrival in our warehouse, we will have the items returned to IKEA and refund less the shipping charge you paid originally for the item.
All items that we deliver will have the standard IKEA warranty conditions. Maltashopper Limited is not a franchise or local branch of any other entity. In particular Maltashopper Limited is not related in any manner whatsoever to IKEA and makes no representations or warranties on IKEA’s behalf. Therefore, should you wish to return any items to IKEA as part of a warranty claim we can collect these items and deliver them to IKEA and back to you at a cost of 10% of the item value.
We do NOT reccommend purchasing kitchen appliances from IKEA through us as it is possible that their warranties will not be applicable in Malta.
We are responsible for delivering your items in good condition. Any items that are damaged will be returned to IKEA and replaced at our cost, as long as we are informed of this damage up to 3 days after the delivery has taken place.
Be sure to check your items with our deliverymen when they are delivered and let them know of any visible damages to the boxes. Keep the boxes in good condition so that if an item is damaged it can be returned easily. We cannot accept returns of any kind without their original packaing. The barcode and item code of the item would need to be visible/legible.
Simply contact our personnel by phone or by email and we will arrange a pick up date for your damaged item, as well as re-order a new one.
As long as our consignment is still open it won’t be a problem to add or change items. Payment differences will need to be settled before the closing date. However, once we have closed the consignment, no changes can be made to your order. Cancellations will be subject to the returns fee of 10% the cost of the cancelled item.
IKEA has a number of online tools that allow you to design your own space online. You can find the link here.
However, if you do so require, we have someone who is very familiar with the IKEA's systems and can help you to design your kitchen, wardrobe and other rooms or spaces.
Feel free to drop by our office to leave all the necessary measurements and plans that we would require to create your design and leave the design deposit. Otherwise, you may prefer to send all of this information by email to firstname.lastname@example.org and send your design deposit to us via Bank Transfer/Cheque/Cash or even using your Visa/Mastercard in store. Designs can take around 3 working days to be completed. As soon as the design is finished, you will be able to visit our office to view this 3D design and to make any final arrangements and adjustments where needed.
There is a charge for our design services. Based on the design that you need, you can find our prices below. Kindly note that these amounts will act as a deposit and should the order be placed with Maltashopper, the deposit will be carried on towards the final order total.

Unfortunately, we are not legally permitted to distribute catalogues. However, an online catalogue is available from IKEA Italia's website. We may also have a few hard copies at our store in Santa Venera. For more details email email@example.com or call 2033 4532.
We do understand that there are some people who do not understand Italian and find it easier to look through a website in a more familiar language. However, please understand that different IKEA stores have different policies and prices, and since we are shopping from the Catania store in Sicily, theirs are the policies that count!
A couple of things that you can do to avoid confusion are:
1) Download Google Chrome and have the Italian website translated into English (it's not very good English but it's understandable)
2) Look through the UK website and double check the availability on the Italian website.
We encourage you to use the first option (Google Chrome) as there might be some fine print in Italian that you could overlook.
