Please add your order number to the transfer details or with the cheque sent by post so that we can match the payment to your order immediately and thus add your order to our open consignment at the time of receipt of payment.
Once you place your order and pay for it, we will include it with our next available consignment. You can see our consignment date at the top of our webpage. It will then be delivered throughout the following week. Should you not be able to accept the delivery date we sent, you're more than welcome to collect the goods from our office once they arrive.
It is possible that some items are out of stock at IKEA, Catania. Remember, IKEA is very popular in Sicily and hundreds of people visit every day so even their 'website stocks' might not be so accurate. Since IKEA prepare our goods over the span of a week and a half, it is very difficult to tell what will arrive and what won't. We do not represent IKEA so we cannot have this information until the day the goods arrive in our warehouse.
Despite this, you can check the availability of an item here.
In your account, you will be able to view a Statement of all your purchase/invoice/credit history with Maltashopper Limited. Invoices are visible in your Payments and can be printed off directly from there. Credit notes are issued automatically when an item is cancelled. You can re-use credit for a new purchase or request a refund for this credit, at which point we will send a cheque for your refund. Items that are cancelled will be credited the IKEA PRICE paid originally. This means that the shipping price you paid will not be refunded.

Deliveries are scheduled depending on your area and usually start from the consignment date that your order is part of until the next week. We want to get your goods to you as quickly as possible and we will always email you a week before we even go up for the goods to arrange a delivery date in advance. Delivery times are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 8am-4pm.
The date we give you would always be the earliest and only date for your area, during the week when we are delivering orders for the consignment you are part of.
If you're unable to accept delivery, you're more than welcome to collect the goods from our premises once they arrive or perhaps have someone accept delivery on your behalf. If you'd like to change the delivery address, it might change the date. We can also call an hour before to let you know we're on the way.
Goods will need to be delivered/collected before the next consignment comes in the week after. You will always be given an item availability date on the Order Update you receive.
You should always receive an email from us with an Order Update after we received every consignment.
It is possible that the items which did not arrive were either out of stock or unavailable from IKEA; this is determined by IKEA themselves. If the items are simply out of stock they will be kept on back-order until you choose to cancel the items or until they are no longer available from IKEA, Catania. In both cases, you will receive credit in your account for these items. If the items are unavailable from IKEA, Catania we will have to cancel these items from your order.
Maltashopper Limited is not, in any way, liable for the inconvenience caused by missing/out of stock/unavailable items. Any cancelled orders/items, which have already been paid for, will be refunded.
Items that are cancelled, from the client's side, will be credited the IKEA PRICE paid originally. This means that the shipping price you paid will not be refunded.
We encourage our clients to check the availability of each item from IKEA, Catania before ordering and paying for the items. This can be done here, through the IKEA Italia website.
We deliver to ground floor only. Should you require delivery to a higher floor you will need to secure the services of a lifting company and coordinate delivery times with our delivery department. Any lifting charges are to your account.
Gozo deliveries are scheduled normally once a week at no extra cost. You are welcome, of course, to arrange with our delivery department to collect your items from our warehouse in Santa Venera, Malta.
If you would like an unscheduled delivery to Gozo there is a charge of €50.
The €10 paid during check out covers one delivery from Maltashopper. Always remember that there is a possibility that items are out of stock from IKEA, Catania. When our shipment arrives, we will deliver your products that were in stock. Should there be any product that was out of stock and thus reordered, you’re welcome to come and collect when it arrives. Otherwise, we can deliver again for €10.
Kindly ensure that should you place an order for a particular consignment, you will be able to collect what arrives that same week. If you would not be able to accept delivery or collect the order during that week of when the order is available for, the order will be returned to IKEA and you will be credited the IKEA price paid originally.
You can collect your items after you receive the order update stating that the items have arrived. Kindly note that orders would need to be collected before the following consignment comes in. The availability dates will be noted in the Order Update you will receive. If not collected, by then, we will have the order returned to IKEA and will refund the IKEA price paid originally.
Of course! Always let us know that you’re going to collect to make sure that we prepare your goods, ensuring a smooth collection here in the office. You will also be credited the €10 once you opted not to take delivery. Collection can take place Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4:30 pm and Saturday from 9am-1pm.
All items that we deliver will have the standard IKEA warranty conditions. Maltashopper Limited is not a franchise or local branch of any other entity. In particular, Maltashopper Limited is not related in any manner whatsoever to IKEA and makes no representations or warranties on IKEA’s behalf. Therefore, should you wish to return any items to IKEA as part of a warranty claim, please send an email to email@example.com so that our returns department can forward the information to IKEA who will ultimately decide whether they would accept the item or not.
Please ensure that the packaging is left in pristine condition and returns are dissembled in this packaging.
Mattresses/textiles which have been opened and thus not sealed in the same way they were delivered are not returnable due to hygienic reasons.
We do NOT recommend purchasing kitchen appliances from IKEA through us as it is possible that their warranties will not be applicable in Malta.
We are responsible for delivering your items in good condition.
Be sure to check your items with our delivery men when they are delivered and let them know of any visible damages to the boxes. Any claims about damaged items should be submitted with photographic evidence to firstname.lastname@example.org within 48hours. Any accepted returns will require the original packaging in pristine condition. We cannot accept returns of any kind without their original packaging. The barcode and item code of the item would need to be visible/legible.
As long as our consignment is still open it won’t be a problem to add or change items. Payment differences will need to be settled before the closing date. However, once we have closed the consignment, no changes can be made to your order.
If you would still like to cancel items that have been ordered but have not arrived yet, you will be credited the IKEA PRICE paid originally. This means that the shipping price you paid will not be refunded.

We do offer design services for kitchens and wardrobes. However, we do not work with appointments as our designer is based abroad. If you would like us to help with a wardrobe/kitchen design, there is a design fee as below:

If you already have measurements, feel free to drop by our office to leave all the necessary measurements and plans that we would require to create your design and leave the design deposit. Otherwise, you may prefer to send all of this information by email to email@example.com and send your design deposit to us via Bank Transfer/Cheque/Cash or even using your Visa/Mastercard in store. Designs can take around 3 working days to be completed. As soon as the design is finished, we will be able to send the design to you by email and you ask to have any readjustments made where needed.

Keep in mind that IKEA's catalogue shows combinations of items put together. These combinations would have ONE code that is made up of many IKEA products which are all sold separately and thus different availability. We as Maltashopper, have to break down these combination codes that clients order as IKEA only source individual items for us as they do in the store. At the bottom of every page, you would be able to check whether the code you're ordering is made up of individual products or not.

You can return products you bought with us as long as:
- The item is in its original packaging.
- The item barcode and item code number are clearly showing.
- The item was bought within the last 4 months.
All you need to do is log on to your account > MY RETURNS > Choose the items you'd like to return and wait for an acknowledgement from our side! You will receive an email once your return request is confirmed.
We do understand that there are some people who do not understand Italian and find it easier to look through a website in a more familiar language. However, please understand that different IKEA stores have different policies and prices, and since we are shopping from the Catania store in Sicily, theirs are the policies that count!
A couple of things that you can do to avoid confusion are:
1) Download Google Chrome and have the Italian website translated into English (it's not very good English but it's understandable)
2) Look through the UK website and double check the availability on the Italian website.
We encourage you to use the first option (Google Chrome) as there might be some fine print in Italian that you could overlook.
